Born and brought up in Mid Wales in a Welsh speaking family, Huw has spent over 30 years walking the hills and mountains of mid and north Wales as well as researching the ancient history and folklore of the region. Having both walked the length of Offa's Dyke and achieved the infamous Across Wales walk - 43 miles in a day - he is now achieving his lifelong ambition of imparting his love and knowledge of his native land to visitors.

Huw is a Chartered Waste Management Engineer and Chartered Environmentalist with over 20 years experience of working in local government. Married to Helen - who has over 20 years experience of agriculture and countryside management, the couple live on a remote smallholding in the Radnorshire hills with their 2 teenage children.

Having experienced similar day trips across the world, in locations from Sri Lanka to Sydney and Capetown to Tuscany, Huw considered it was high time he offered travellers the opportunity of a similar experience in Wales!
